Job Description:

R&S Maintenance Services, Inc. is currently seeking experienced Millwrights and Welders with strong fabrication skills. This position will involve working with stainless steel, aluminum and sheet metal. Most the projects are custom; welding from routine to complex on a daily basis. Millwrights will install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings. Candidate will need to assist in other areas of the company as well operating hand and power tool of all types. This position has potential for growth!

The Millwright Level I position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
  • Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
  • Weld, repair, and fabricate equipment or machinery.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, electrical components, hydraulics, or other mechanical systems.
  • Operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
  • Experience with Steel fabrication and GTAW and GMAW processes
  • Experienced in SMAW processes
  • Able to pass AWS weld tests for certification
  • Comply with regulations and safety requirements

Required Skills:

  • Good oral and written communication skills and good team building skills
  • Experienced working with structural steel, sheet metal, stainless and other alloys, emphasis on Stainless Steel fabrication and GTAW and GMAW processes
  • Experienced in SMAW processes
  • Able to pass AWS weld tests for certification
  • Lift machines, place them in designated areas, position and align them
  • Working from routine to complicated as built samples, blueprints, schematics and shop drawings
  • Able to work with little to no supervision
  • Able to pass pre-employment screenings
  • Excellent understanding of safety practices and procedures in fabricating environment
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move items weighing 50-100 pounds

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Certification as Specified
  • Machining Experience (Preferred)
